The herd

Meet the herd.

Our horses are the heart of every session. Each one has their own personality, and clients often find themselves drawn to one in particular. Alongside them are the dogs, cats and ducks who make the farm feel like home.

Sunny, a chestnut horse with a white blaze, standing with Liz in the paddock

Sunny

Equine guide · Kind, quiet, cuddly

Sunny is calm on the ground, happy to stand with anyone who needs a moment, and always up for a cuddle at the rail.

Danny, a dark bay horse with pink ribbons in his mane

Danny

Equine guide · Gentle, patient, photogenic

Danny is the herd’s gentleman and wears pink better than any of us.

A grey horse watching over the rail at sunrise

Mojo

Equine guide · Curious, steady, sweet

Mojo is first to the fence when visitors arrive and loves a slow, sunny morning.

Two dogs exploring the yard together

Cowboy and Gracie

Therapy dogs · Friendly, social, snuggly

Our two Staffy crosses. Cowboy comes along on aged care visits, and both of them believe every visitor has arrived to see them.

Their wellbeing comes first

Happy, healthy horses make the best guides.

Our horses have regular health days with dentistry and farrier visits, plenty of paddock time, and the right gear for the season, from rugs in winter to fly masks in summer. We’re grateful to Hawkesbury Equine Vet Centre, farrier Scott Barlow, Sharon from The Galloping Groom and Sciberras Produce for helping us look after them.

Horses choose how much they want to take part in each session. If a horse needs a break, they get one.
